Kayla Felten
(she/they)
Kayla Felten, MSW, LICSW (she/her) has been an advocate for religious trauma and spiritual abuse survivors throughout her career, as the co-founder and Executive Director of the Reclamation Collective, as well as a Psychedelic Therapist in her clinical work. In both of these realms of practice, Kayla has been able to support those in the process of reclaiming their inner peace, relational harmony, autonomy, pleasure, and authentic self. Kayla grew up in the Chicagoland suburbs in a faith context called the Plymouth Brethren, which she no longer identifies with, yet has reclaimed a personal sense of spirit and spirituality. Over the course of the last 4 years, she has been navigating an immigration journey to her current residence in Playa del Carmen, Mexico.
MSW Student
Kelsey Wright (she/her)
Kelsey Wright, an MSW student, comes from an evangelical Christian background. Through her experiences, faith, identity, and belonging, her understanding of the world was deeply shaped. Kelsey’s journey of deconstruction has fueled her passion for supporting others navigating spiritual abuse and religious trauma. Kelsey still considers herself a person of faith, wanting to still believe. Kelsey is drawn to the teachings on loving and fully accepting our neighbors, and hopes to be an access point for others, an access she did not have. She expects deconstruction and reclamation to be a lifelong journey as she continues to pursue joy, peace, and personal agency.
