My passion for religious trauma support work comes from my own experience growing up in a fundamentalist Evangelical/Pentecostal church in Puerto Rico. I like to colloquially call it “Creole Christianity” (Cristianismo Criollo) because of the way our Caribbean cultures shaped our religious practices. Although there’s more information about religious trauma every day, I believe Black, Indigenous, and People of Color, still need spaces to process our nuanced experiences with religious and colonial harm while navigating the complexities of our cultural/spiritual practices being intertwined with the dominant religions of our upbringing.

Everyone deserves a seat at the table.
We will do our best to connect as many applicants as possible with access to a Summer support group
